Week 8 Content Sharing

This week we had some fun!

Activity - Playing Around

In this activity, we're going to make use of Flickr and the creative commons license to explore our creativity!

  • First, go to the website bighugelabs. Sign up to become a member of the site.
  • You are going to be creating either a motivational poster, a magazine cover or a movie poster.
  • Once you've decided which you want to create, browse through Flickr until you find an image you want to use.
  • Check that the license on the image allows you to use/alter it for non-commercial use.
  • Now, download the image, then use it to create your original work.
  • Now share the result of your efforts by either posting the URL to Blackboard or embedding the image in a post using the HTML that the site creates for you!

It's all about sharing... Delicious is designed for sharing!

Delicious is a bookmarking and sharing service, which enables you to find and share your favourite links.
At first it was a bit confusing, but after i worked out how to install the bookmarking button on my toolbar, i realised how handy it is. Although with time i forgot it was there, and rarely use it for saving links. Usually i insert the link straight into my blog or in an excel file.
Flavors.me is another good way to share your links or nodes.
Flavors.me is very user-friendly, easy to sign up, and use.

ClaimID is another bookmark-type sharing platform
where you can save all  your links, nodes, blogs, etc. in one place.
